Thermage for the face – Aesthetic treatment without surgery

Thermage is rightfully characterized as a non-surgical facial lifting treatment. It delivers impressive results with just a single session.

There are two types of radiofrequency: monopolar and bipolar. Bipolar radiofrequency is the older technology.

Monopolar Thermage radiofrequency (available in only two Aesthetic Medicine centers in Thessaloniki and offered at the clinic of Plastic Surgeon Georgia Chorti) is 6 times more powerful than bipolar.

Thermage treatment represents the latest advancement in radiofrequency technology and includes two specialized tips for the upper and lower eyelids. It provides optimal results in individuals with mild to moderate skin laxity. It is a proven, stable, and highly effective non-invasive treatment for non-surgical lifting, wrinkle reduction, and overall facial tightening.

    How Thermage works

Thermage προσώπου - Αισθητική χωρίς νυστέρι

Thermage induces controlled deep thermal heating beneath the skin, creating a targeted thermal effect within the tissue. As a result, the tissue is stimulated to regenerate. This process is similar in concept to a chemical peel, which acts on the outer layer of the skin, but in this case, the effect occurs within the deeper tissue. There is absolutely no visible burning on the surface of the skin. After the treatment, the individual can leave immediately without any visible signs.

The healing process is continuous and naturally controlled. Regeneration begins approximately two months after the treatment and progresses gradually, with optimal results achieved within six months. The face appears lifted and tightened, with improved firmness and overall skin stability.

The treatment can be repeated as many times as needed, without any negative impact on the tissues or the skin. While bipolar radiofrequency requires 5–6 sessions per month, Thermage is performed once every one to two years, depending on the individual’s needs.
