PRP Mesotherapy – What it is
PRP mesotherapy is considered the most powerful form of mesotherapy, aside from stem cell therapy. It is used for comprehensive treatment in areas most exposed to the sun, such as the face, neck, and décolleté.

Autologous growth factors derived from activated platelets (PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma) are an application of modern regenerative, biological medicine. Injectable treatment with activated platelets naturally contributes to tissue regeneration through the growth factors they produce. There is no risk of allergy or hypersensitivity, as each individual uses exclusively their own blood.
One of the properties of blood platelets is their role in repairing damage within the body, as they release more than 800 types of proteins. The doctor collects 1–2 vials of blood from each patient, which are mixed with an anticoagulant and gel. The blood is then centrifuged in a specialized centrifuge for 10 minutes at 3,200 rpm. The purpose of centrifugation is to separate the blood components into plasma, platelets, and, in another chamber, white and red blood cells, among others.
The platelets and plasma remain in the upper part of the tube, while the remaining blood components settle below the gel. The plasma and the growth factors contained in the platelets are then collected with a syringe and used for the treatment.

The application of PRP mesotherapy at Dr. G. Horti’s Center follows specific protocols:
During the first year, three treatments are performed. Thereafter, for individuals under 50 years old, one session per year is recommended, while for those over 50, two sessions per year are advised. The results of these treatments are remarkable.
There are two types of treatments: double and single.
- In the single treatment, one vial of blood is used. After centrifugation, the plasma is collected, enriched, and delivered into the skin using the Dermapen technique.
- In the double treatment, twice the amount is produced. Half is used as in the single treatment, while the remaining half is injected more deeply into the fatty tissue at selected points to restore volume to the face, such as the cheekbones. The enrichment of the fat is highly beneficial, as platelets have the natural ability to regenerate any tissue into which they are injected. In this case, they contribute to the formation of adipose tissue, naturally enhancing facial volume and preventing tissue and skin laxity.
