Brow lift of the forehead – What it is

The need for a forehead lift arises from sagging of the forehead and eyelids, which cannot be adequately addressed with non-invasive techniques (Plexr non-surgical blepharoplasty, Thermage).
Forehead lifting for elevating the upper part of the face is often performed in combination with blepharoplasty in a single surgical procedure.
Forehead lifting involves a small transverse incision within the scalp or along the hairline so that it is not immediately visible. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia with sedation in a clinic, without the need for hospitalization.
The lifting is achieved with the use of absorbable sutures that hold the tissues in an elevated position and secure them above the bone. If deemed necessary, the eyebrows can also be lifted.
