Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is chosen by women of all ages who have small breasts, asymmetrical breasts, or wish to restore breast volume after significant weight loss, pregnancy, or age-related loss of breast tissue.
The psychological satisfaction from the new aesthetic result, which emphasizes femininity, is immense and provides a significant boost in self-confidence.
Breast Implants
For breast augmentation, various implants are used. Since the opening of her clinic, the Plastic Surgeon has exclusively used the world-class implants from the American company **Mentor**, ensuring both patient safety and long-lasting, high-quality results.
Silicone implants have a textured shell. They are safe and do not come into direct contact with tissues, as they are enclosed in a thin membrane. The texture of the breast feels natural and the implants cannot be detected by touch. Their shell is durable and seamless. Implants come in different shapes and sizes—round or anatomical. There is absolutely no risk of silicone leakage, they contain no harmful substances, and they pose no adverse effects on the body.
Before surgery, every woman is fully informed by the Plastic Surgeon about the different techniques and why the recommended technique is best suited for her. She is also informed about the implants to be used and the changes they will bring to the breast. The ideal implant is selected based on measurements of the breast and chest to determine the proper dimensions, combined with the patient’s desired final outcome.
How Breast Augmentation Surgery is Performed
Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia. It involves the placement of implants to enhance the size and shape of the breasts. Different implant sizes can be used to correct any possible asymmetry of the breasts.

There are two ways to place the implants:
Either under the breast tissue (mammary gland) or under the pectoralis major muscle. The recommended approach by the doctor depends entirely on the characteristics of the breast.
Under the breast tissue: If the breast has enough tissue to cover the implant and there is some sagging, the implant is placed behind the mammary gland to fill the breast and achieve a better aesthetic result without cutting the muscle. This technique is also used for athletes to avoid cutting the muscle.
Under the chest muscle: If there is not enough breast tissue to cover the implant and the breast is very small, the implant is placed behind the pectoral muscle for a better aesthetic outcome.
In both cases, the breasts have a natural texture after surgery, and the implants are not detectable to the touch.
The procedure of breast augmentation surgery
The breast augmentation surgery is performed in the operating room under general anesthesia. Its duration is approximately one hour and, due to the extensive experience of plastic surgeon G. Chorti, it can be combined with another aesthetic procedure if needed.
The implants are inserted through a very small incision of a few millimeters near the nipple. There are no visible scars, and breastfeeding is not affected at all. The nipple retains its sensitivity, and the breast maintains full functionality.
The scar disappears after about six months. The breast preserves its normal function and the nipple remains responsive.
The patient stays in the clinic for one night. Postoperative pain is managed with standard painkillers. It is recommended to wear a special support bra for approximately three months and to avoid sports activities for one month.
