If it becomes infected, inflammation occurs, making the cyst red, painful, and warm.<\/p>\n

If the cyst is not surgically removed in a timely manner, it will continue to grow. If there is inflammation, it must first be treated with appropriate medication; otherwise, drainage of the cyst may be required to release pus.
